The National Wrestling Coaches Association owns and operates the Spartan Fitness Challenge. Protecting your private information is our priority. This Spartan Fitness Challenge Statement of Privacy (“Statement of Privacy” or “statement”) applies to the Spartan Fitness Challenge’s (a service and program administered and produced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association) (“Spartan”, “we”, “our”, “us”) data collection and usage practices regarding the Spartan Fitness Challenge.  By consenting to participate in the Spartan Fitness Challenge or by otherwise accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consented to the data practices described in this statement. If you do not agree with this statement, do not participate or sign up for the Spartan Fitness Challenge and do not access or use this website.

Collection of your Personal Information

To better provide you with the products and services offered by Spartan, Spartan may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • Graduation Year (High School and/or College)

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These products and services may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. We will use the information we collect about you, including, without limitation, your personal information, as described in this statement and for any purposes we may disclose to you at the point of collection.

IP Addresses

·       when you reach out to us for support or with questions you will need to provide your contact information as well as the subject matter in which you are interested, and we will use such information to communicate with you and provide the requested support.

We will collect any and all personal information you voluntarily provide to us and use them for the purposes stated herein. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future, and if required by applicable law, we will obtain your prior consent or provide you with additional notice before such additional personal or non-personal information is collected.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Spartan may disclose data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries, and in furtherance of the other purposes stated above in the “Use of your Personal Information” section above.

Selling. We sell your personal information as such concepts are defined under Colorado law. However, we do not “sell” your personal information as the term “sell” is commonly understood to require an exchange of money.

To put on events such as the Spartan Fitness challenge and to provide you an optimal experience, we provide your personal information to our partners and sponsors who assist in putting on such events. Our partners and sponsors may use the personal information we provide them to provide you information about their own services and products, as well as other marketing communications, and to provide you information about potential opportunities and job openings with them. In the past 12 months, we have “sold” your Identifiers as defined in the table above under “Collection” to our partners and sponsors for the purposes set forth above.

Under Colorado law, you may have the right to opt-out of our “sale” of personal information to third parties. You may exercise this right to opt-out by contacting us through the methods set forth in the “Exercise Your Rights” section below, or by clicking the “DO NOT SELL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION” link.

Rights. Applicable laws in your jurisdiction may grant you certain rights—subject to all applicable limitations, exemptions, or exceptions—regarding our collection and use of your personal information. These rights may include, to the extent applicable and to the extent granted under applicable law:

  • The right to confirm whether personal information about you is processed and to access such personal information;

The above rights are only exercisable by you where the applicable law grants you the right being exerted and where no exception or exemption under applicable law applies. You may also have a registered agent (if and only as permitted under applicable law) that you authorize to act on your behalf. If you have a registered agent act on your behalf, we have the right to authenticate such agent’s authority to act.

We do not share your personal information for purposes of cross-contextual behavioral advertising as may be defined under applicable law. We do not use your personal information to profile you in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or significantly similar effects (as may be defined under applicable law).

Children Under Thirteen

Spartan does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this application. If a child who is not at least 13 years old has provided us with personal information, that child's parent or legal guardian should contact us at info.spartanfitnesschallenge.com, if the parent or legal guardian would like the information submitted by the child deleted from our database that contains information submitted by users of the website. If we are so contacted or if we otherwise become aware that personal information from a child who is not at least 13 years old has been collected without such child's parent or guardian's consent, we will use all reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.

Marketing Communications

If you sign up or otherwise opt in to receive promotions or other communications from us, you will need to provide your email address. We will use this information to send you updates and promotional and other electronic communications. We have in place reasonable and appropriate technical, physical, and organizational procedures and security measures designed to safeguard and secure personal information from unauthorized loss, alteration, access, disclosure, and processing, taking into account the cost of implementing such measures commensurate with the risks posed by the particular type of processing, the nature of the personal information, and in accordance with applicable law. We value your trust in providing us your information; however, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable. We cannot guarantee the security of Collected Information.
